Dayuan District
Dayuan District (), formerly known as Dayuan Township () is a coastal district in northwestern Taoyuan City, Taiwan. History Dayuan District was originally named ''Toa-khu-hng'' (), literally means a vast (大) vegetable garden (坵園) as an old Chinese name). In the earlier days, cottage scattered around the district with very limited settlers that grows vegetable and sweet potatoes. Hoklo people migrated to the area during the rule of Kangxi. In avoidance of the invasion of Yue people, walled villages were built around the settlements of Hoklo people. It was renamed during Japanese rule, and was part of Tōen District, Shinchiku Prefecture. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China, it was called Dayuan Township. It became Dayuan District in 2014, when Taoyuan County became a special municipality (and the former city of Taoyuan became a district of the special municipality). Airport Terminal 2 () is a station on the Taoyuan Airport MRT located in Dayuan, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The station is located directly under Terminal 2 of Taoyuan International Airport and opened for commercial service on 2 March 2017. This underground station has two side platforms and two tracks. Both Express and Commuter trains stop at this station. The station is long and wide. It opened for trial service on 2 February 2017, and for commercial service 2 March 2017. Station construction was overseen by the Bureau of High Speed Rail (under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications). Zhuwei Fish Harbor
The Zhuwei Fish Harbor () is a fishing port in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. History The harbor used to be an international trading port. It was then later redeveloped into a tourist harbor. Architecture The harbor features fish market with 77 fish vendors and food preparation section. All of the fishing boats at the harbor are working with a one-day returning turn. Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center
The Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center () is a branch of Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts, located in Dayuan District, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Its location is in close proximity to Linghang metro station. Construction of the art center began in September 2017 and it started trial operations on 22 October 2021. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is an international airport serving Taipei and northern Taiwan. Located about west of Taipei in Dayuan District, Taoyuan, the airport is Taiwan's largest. The CAL Park () is located in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City in the Republic of China (Taiwan). The building is located next to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport's terminals. The CAL Park is the flagship building and headquarters for China Airlines. The CAL Park property consists of four buildings, including the head office building, the crew training center, the flight simulator training center, and the Novotel Taipei hotel. The four buildings are aligned in order from the shortest to the tallest; the company says that the design is meant to evoke progress. The design of CAL Park was intended to evoke the concept of flight, and the colors used in the design include blue, gray, silver, and white.
