Daytime Emmy Award For Outstanding Directing For A Children's Series
The Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing For A Children's Series was an Emmy award honoring direction in children's television programming. Since 1979, direction in children's series and specials competed in the same category. However, by the nineties, separate categories were created for the two mediums. In November 2021, it was announced that all Daytime Emmy categories honoring children's programming will be retired in favor of a separate Children's & Family Emmy Awards ceremony that will be held starting in 2022. Daytime Emmy Award
The Daytime Emmy Awards, or Daytime Emmys, are part of the extensive range of Emmy Awards for artistic and technical merit for the American television industry. Bestowed by the New York–based National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), the Daytime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American daytime television programming. The first ceremony was held in 1974, expanding what was originally a prime time-themed Emmy Award. Ceremonies generally are held in May or June. Robert Mandel (born 1945) is a film producer and director and television director from Oakland, California. He is best known for his film ''School Ties'', which includes early film roles in the careers of Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Cole Hauser and Chris O'Donnell. Emily Squires (August 23, 1941 – November 21, 2012) was an American television producer and director best known for her Emmy Award-winning work on ''Sesame Street''. Life and career After attending Randolph Macon Women's College, from which she later received an award as an outstanding alumna, Emily Squires graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1962. ''Kids Incorporated'' (also known as ''Kids Inc.'') is an American children's television program that began production in the mid-1980s and continued airing well into the early 1990s.
