Clem Dayman
Clem Dayman (30 December 1892 – 24 July 1967) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the North Adelaide and Port Adelaide Football Clubs. North Adelaide (1915 – 1919) Dayman first played in the opening round of 1915 for North Adelaide Football Club against Norwood at the Norwood Oval. He went on to play a further three games for the season in between playing for North Adelaide's B side. He enlisted to fight with the A.I.F. on 9 August 1915. Suffering from shell shock he returned to Australia on August 8, 1918, and was medically discharged. He rejoined North Adelaide at the start of the 1919 season. He went on to play 16 out of a possible 20 games in 1919, and was rewarded with his efforts with the C.H Nitschke Medal for the Most Consistent and Brilliant Player of the season. Edward Dayman
Edward Arthur Dayman, BD, (11 July 1807 – 30 October 1890) was an English clergyman and hymn writer. Life Dayman was born at Padstow in Cornwall, the third son of John Dayman, of Mambury in Devon, and educated at Blundell's School in Tiverton and at Exeter College in Oxford. He was awarded 1st Class in Lit. Hum (1829), BA (1830), MA (1831) and BD (1841). He was for some time fellow and tutor of his college, and pro-proctor in 1835. Dayman took Holy Orders in 1835 and became successively examiner for University Scholarship for Latin, 1838; in Lit. Hum., 1838–1839, and 1841–1842, senior proctor of the university. Dayman’s clerical appointments were: *1842 - Rector of Shillingstone in Dorset *1849 - Rural Dean *1852 - Proctor in Convocation *1862 - Hon. Ivan Howard Dayman (20 July 19201 October 1989) was an Australian music promoter, record producer, label owner and talent manager of the 1960s and 1970s, based first in Adelaide, then Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Although his career was brief – ca. 1964 to 1968 – he is significant in the history of Australian popular music as the first person to establish an integrated entertainment group that included artist management, a booking agency, a chain of venues in major cities, and a recording label. He is also notable for the many successful artists he managed, including his flagship act, Australia's 1960s ''TV Week'' "King of Pop", Normie Rowe, whom he managed from 1965 onwards.
