''Dayavan'' () is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Feroz Khan. It is a remake of the 1987 Tamil film ''Nayakan''. The film stars Vinod Khanna, Feroz Khan and Madhuri Dixit with Aditya Pancholi in an important roles. The film was a box office super hit and received critical acclaim. The film was most talked about for its passionate lovemaking scene between Khanna and Dixit but there was more to the film than the kiss. Khanna played the titular role and avenges the death of his father. The film is remembered for its powerful performance, which is considered to be one of his best. Vinod Khanna (6 October 1946 – 27 April 2017) was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films; while also being a notable spiritual seeker.
