Dax David Riggs (born October 15, 1973) is an American musician, best known for fronting the sludge metal band Acid Bath in the 1990s. He has been a part of many projects since then, including Agents of Oblivion and Deadboy & the Elephantmen. In 2007 he began releasing material under his own name. Bands Corruption Corruption was Riggs in his teens fronting a thrash metal band that played cover songs, though they never played a real gig. Golgotha Golgotha was the sludge/thrash metal foundation of what would later become Acid Bath. The band released one demo, ''Wet Dreams of the Insane'' (1991), under that name before changing it. Dax is a xenomorphic character in the fictional '' Star Trek'' universe. The Dax life form is a symbiont—one that lives inside & bonds to Trill humanoid hosts. Marc Dax (27 December 1770 – 3 June 1837) was a French neurologist, sometimes credited for discovering the link between neurological damage to the left hemisphere, right-sided hemiplegia, and a loss of the ability to produce speech (aphasia). He submitted his discovery, based on the observations of three patients in Montpellier, to the French Academy of Sciences and two previous notes were published in 1836, 25 years before Paul Broca's more famous description. His papers were titled ''Observations tending to prove the constant coincidence of disturbances of speech with a lesion of the left hemisphere of the brain'', and ''Lesions of the left half of the encephalon coincident with the forgetting of signs of thinking''. Early life She was born Danielle Gardner, in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. Dax's first performance on stage in London was when she was a pre-teen.
