Eugen Burg
Eugen Burg (6 January 1871 – 17 April 1944) was a German actor. His daughter was Hansi Burg. Burg was a close friend of the actor Hans Albers. Burg was born Eugen Hirschburg into a Jewish family, but later converted to Protestantism. He was banished from the film industry when the Nazi Party came to power in Germany. Elisabeth Margarete Biermann (née Brink, born Frey; 2 April 1905 – 28 October 1985), known professionally as Elga Brink, was a German film actress. Brink rose to prominence in the early 1920s, when she starred in many silent films. Her last silent film was '' Marriage in Trouble'' in 1928. After silent films, Brink continued acting in sound films until her retirement in 1951. Her last role was in the 1951 movie ''Das fremde Leben.'' After her retirement, Brink remarried and worked as a clerk in Hamburg until her death in 1985. Life Elga Brink was born Elisabeth Margarete Frey in Berlin on 2 April 1905, the daughter of a banker in Berlin-Waidmannslust. Shortly after her birth, her surname was changed to Brink.
