Sadeq Chubak
Sādeq Chubak ( fa, صادق چوبک, sometimes Sādegh Choubak; August 5, 1916 July 3, 1998), was an Iranian author of short fiction, drama, and novels. His short stories are characterized by their intricacy, economy of detail, and concentration on a single theme, leading some to compare them to Persian miniature paintings. Choubak was a naturalist, and his novels reflected the dark side of society. He was a very close friend of Sadegh Hedayat who was an influential writer at that time. Biography Sadeq Chubak was born in Bushehr, where he first studied before moving to Shiraz and then Tehran. For some time he was employed by the Ministry of Education and the Oil Company. Borazjan
Borazjan ( fa, برازجان; also Romanized as Borāzjān ; also known as Borazdjan and Borāzjūn) is a city in the Central District of Dashtestan County, Bushehr province, Iran, and serves as capital of the county. At the 2006 census, its population was 92,221 in 20,300 households. The following census in 2011 counted 95,449 people in 23,914 households. Khormooj
Khormoj ( fa, خورموج; also Romanized as Khormūj, Khormoj, and Khūrmūj) is a city in and capital of Dashti County, Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 31,667, in 6,966 families. It is the only town in the Central district of Sub-province. Tangsir (novel)
''Tangsir'' (also transliterated as ''Tangseer'', in Persian: تنگسیر) is a Persian novel written by Iranian writer Sadeq Chubak. ''Tangsir'' was the author's first novel. The book recounts the valorous acts of the fighters of Tangestan (a region near Bushehr province). Background Chubak was a translator of western novels and stories into Persian. Before writing ''Tangsir''. The author translated books including ''Pinocchio'' and some of Eugene O'Neill's plays. ''Tangsir''s events have really occurred in Bushehr in the past.
