Davis Brin
Davis William Brin (born February 7, 2000) is an American football quarterback for the Georgia Southern Eagles. He previously played for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Early life and high school Brin grew up in Boerne, Texas and attended Samuel V. Champion High School where he played football and track & field. During high school, he was named first-team Academic All-State and the District 26-5A Offensive MVP as a senior. He ended his high school football career with a total of 6,550 passing yards and 58 touchdowns. He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Tulsa over offers from schools such as Bowling Green, Fordham, Holy Cross, Louisiana–Monroe, New Mexico State, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State, San Diego State, Texas State, Toledo and UTSA. Clay Charles Helton (born June 24, 1972) is an American college football coach and former player, who is currently the head coach at Georgia Southern. He was previously the head coach of USC from 2015 to 2021. Helton has also been an assistant coach for Duke, Houston and Memphis. His father, Kim Helton, was a coach in college, the National Football League, and the Canadian Football League. The UAB Blazers football team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the sport of American football. The Georgia Southern Eagles are the athletic team(s) of Georgia Southern University (GS). The Eagles compete in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) (formerly I-A) and are members of the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference.
