Davide Squillace
Davide Squillace (born 6 December 1977) is a DJ and producer from Italy, and the founder of several record labels. Early life Born in Siena, Italy, his family moved back to its home town, Naples, just after his birth. In Naples he developed a genuine interest in electronic music, thanks to the famous local scene. After finishing school, in 1995, he went to London, where he lived for three years. In London he was fascinated by the British scene and he began buying the first music equipments to produce techno music and managed to have his first record published by Primate Records. Soon other labels got interested in his work and he published more EPs with Audio and Contrast. In 1999 he went back to Naples, where he began studying at the local school of sound engineering, graduating in two years. During these years he did not published lot of music, but he focused on studying and working in the neapolitan techno clubs where he became very famous alongside Marco Carola and Rino Cerro ... Womb is a notable nightclub in Tokyo, Japan that is featured in the film ''Babel''. History Womb opened in April 2000 with a Junior Vasquez party and is located at 2-16 Maruyama-cho Shibuya-ku. The main floor, with a giant mirror ball, is on the second floor of the premises, while a small bar is located at the rear of the dance floor. The main DJ booth overlooks the main floor and for select artists, the DJ booth is relocated onto the actual dance floor. In addition to the DJ booth, another bar, with open windows that look down onto the dance floor, also exists. On the fourth floor is another bar, a chill-out lounge and a DJ usually plays here as well. Sónar is a festival dedicated to music, creativity and technology, founded in Barcelona in 1994 by Ricard Robles, Enric Palau, and Sergi Caballero. The festival has been divided into two parts since its inception: Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night, with a three-day congress, Sónar+D dedicated to Creativity, Technology and Business running concurrently since 2013.
