Davide Pinato
Davide Pinato (born 15 March 1964) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He now works as a goalkeeping coach. As of the 2015–16 season, he holds the sixth best Italian football record for the longest consecutive run without conceding a goal in Serie A, which he managed during the 1997–98 season, with Atalanta. Playing career Monza and Milan Born in Monza, Pinato started his career at hometown club Monza. He entered into first team in summer 1985, after Monza's relegation to Serie B. He played 14 times during the 1985–86 season, and he later overtook the Alberto Torresin as the club's starting goalkeeper at the beginning of the 1986–87 season. Monza (, ; lmo, label=Lombard language, Lombard, Monça, locally ; lat, Modoetia) is a city and ''comune'' on the River Lambro, a tributary of the Po River, Po in the Lombardy region of Italy, about north-northeast of Milan. Serie C1
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football (soccer), football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. Luigi Turci
Luigi Turci (born 27 January 1970) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He retired after the 2006–07 season. His last club was Cesena in Serie B. He is currently active as goalkeeping coach of A.C. Milan. Football career He started his career at native club Cremonese. After loaned to Treviso and Alessandria (Serie C1), he became Cremonese no.1 goalkeeper, and helped the team gain promotion to Serie A in 1993. After Cremonese were relegated to Serie B in 1996, he joined Udinese of Serie A, still remaining the first choice goalkeeper of the team. He moved again in 2002, this time to U.C. Sampdoria. 2002–03 Serie B
The 2002–03 Serie B was the 71st season since its establishment in 1929. It is the second highest football league in Italy. Teams Livorno, Ascoli, Triestina and Catania had been promoted from Serie C, while Hellas Verona, Lecce, and Venezia had been relegated from Serie A and Fiorentina had lost their national professional licence. Final classification In June 2003, Catania was at the centre of a controversy that led to the enlargement of Serie B from 20 to 24 teams, known as ''Caso Catania''. The club claimed that Siena fielded an ineligible player in a 1–1 tie, a result which saw Catania relegated, whereas the two extra points from a victory would have kept them safe. Udinese Calcio, commonly referred to as Udinese, is a professional Football in Italy, Italian association football, football club based in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, that currently plays in Serie A. Massimo Taibi
Massimo Taibi (; born 18 February 1970) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for several clubs, mostly in Italy's Serie A, B, and C1. He had a brief spell at English club Manchester United. Career Italy Taibi started his career for Licata until 1989. He appeared only once, before moving to Trentino, where he was a first-choice goalkeeper, playing 23 matches. After one season, he moved to Milan in Serie A for the 1990–91 season. As in his first club, he was not used at all, and shortly moved to Como, where he played the following season. After that he moved to Piacenza. Taibi stayed there for five seasons, until the 1996–97 season, and appeared for most of the club's games. The 2000–01 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 99th season of top-tier Italian football, the 69th in a round-robin tournament. It was contested by 18 teams, for the 13th consecutive season since 1988–89. Roma won its first '' Scudetto'' since 1982–83, its third title overall. Juventus finished second, and these two teams automatically qualified for the first group stage of the 2001–02 UEFA Champions League. Alberto Fontana (born 1967)
Alberto Fontana (born 23 January 1967) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his career, in which he represented nine different clubs, he played until the age of 42. He played in 241 Serie A games during 15 seasons, representing in the competition Cesena, Bari, Atalanta, Napoli, Inter Milan, Chievo and Palermo. Football career Born in Cesena, Fontana started his career with his hometown club, A.C. Davide Micillo (born 17 April 1971) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Following his retirement, he worked as a manager. Career Micillo was born in Vercelli. Fabrizio Ferron
Fabrizio Ferron (born 5 September 1965 in Bollate) is a former Italian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played over 300 games in Serie A. Football career Ferron started his career with the A.C. Milan youth team. He then played for Sambenedettese, before spending 8 seasons at Atalanta. On 23 February 1992, Ferron suffered the infamy of conceding a late equaliser to Michelangelo Rampulla, the opposing goalkeeper for Cremonese, who became the first goalkeeper to score from open play in Serie A history. In a 0–3 loss away to Reggiana on 23 January 1994, Ferron's heart stopped beating for some 15 seconds after a collision with an opposing striker. Luckily, he was revived shortly afterwards.
