Davide Bassi
Davide Bassi (born 12 April 1985) is an Italian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Sarzana, Liguria, Bassi was a product of Empoli's youth system, joining the team in 2002, but started his professional career at Tuscan club Massese in 2003. In 2005, he returned to Empoli in a co-ownership deal. Bassi formally returned to Empoli on 1 July 2006. He became the team's first choice goalkeeper, ahead Daniele Balli, during the second half of the 2007–08 Serie A season. After the team were relegated, he remained as the first choice keeper. During the 2010–11 Serie B season, he left for Torino, to replace the recently departed Matteo Sereni. Empoli signed Jasmin Handanović to replace Bassi. In July 2011, he left on loan for as Sassuolo, but served as an understudy to Alberto Pomini. In July 2013, Bassi changed his shirt number to no.28. Sarzana
Sarzana (, ; lij, Sarzann-a) is a town, ''comune'' (municipality) and former short-lived Catholic bishopric in the Province of La Spezia, Liguria, Italy. Jasmin Handanović
Jasmin Handanović (born 28 January 1978) is a Slovenian retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is the oldest player to ever play in the Slovenian top division. Club career In July 2010, Handanović was signed by Empoli, replacing Davide Bassi as the new first choice. However, he was then replaced by Alberto Pelagotti. In 2011, he signed for Maribor. While playing for Maribor, on 5 November 2014, in a UEFA Champions League group match against Chelsea, he saved an 85th-minute penalty from Eden Hazard to ensure a 1–1 draw. Handanović retired from professional football after the 2020–21 season. His jersey with the number 33 was retired by Maribor. The Toulon Tournament (officially the Festival International "Espoirs" – Tournoi Maurice Revello) is a football (training match) tournament, which traditionally features invited national teams composed of youth players from U-17 to U-23 level. The tournament is named after Maurice Revello, who started the tournament in 1967 and died in 2016. Although the first tournament in 1967 featured club teams, it has been limited to national teams since 1975 (except in 1986 and 1989 when INF Vichy was invited). The men's football tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held in Beijing and four other cities in the People's Republic of China from 7 to 23 August. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to enter their men's under-23 teams in regional qualifying competitions, from which 15 teams, plus the host nation, reached the final tournament. Men's teams were allowed to augment their squads with up to three players over the age of 23. For these Games, the men competed in a 16-team tournament. Preliminary matches commenced on 7 August, the day before the Games' opening ceremony. The teams were grouped into four pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each pool advanced to an eight-team single-elimination bracket.
