David Williams-Ellis
David Williams-Ellis (born 1959) is a British sculptor whose primary subject matter is the human figure. Early life and education Williams-Ellis was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. His great uncle was Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, architect and creator of Portmeirion in North Wales. His cousin was Susan Williams-Ellis, a pottery designer best known for co-founding Portmeirion Pottery. Williams-Ellis was educated at Stowe School, Buckinghamshire. On leaving school, in 1977, he trained under Nerina Simi, in Florence, who taught him to observe the details within a face, the way a person's clothes hung and the details within buildings. Career In 1978 he received the Elizabeth T. Greenshield Foundation Award and he was able to work and study with the marble craftsmen of Carrara in Pietrasanta. Lisburn
Lisburn (; ) is a city in Northern Ireland. It is southwest of Belfast city centre, on the River Lagan, which forms the boundary between County Antrim and County Down. Kyffin Williams
Sir John Kyffin Williams, (9 May 1918 – 1 September 2006) was a Welsh landscape painter who lived at Pwllfanogl, Llanfairpwll, on the Island of Anglesey. Williams is widely regarded as the defining artist of Wales during the 20th century. Personal life Williams was born in Llangefni, Anglesey, one of two sons into an old landed Anglesey family. His father was a bank manager. Williams wrote that his mother was an emotionally repressed woman who had a virulent dislike of the Welsh and the Welsh language. The 2016 Prime Minister's Resignation Honours are honours awarded following the July 2016 resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron. The life peerages and other honours were issued as two separate lists by the Cabinet Office on 4 August 2016 and all honours were gazetted as one list on 16 August 2016. This was the first Prime Minister's Resignation Honours since 1997. On 22 July 2016, it was alleged that officials in the Cabinet Office and the House of Lords Appointments Commission had blocked the list, citing ethical concerns about some of the intended recipients of honours, particularly those destined for the peerage. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. Alessandro Mapelli-Mozzi (born 7 May 1951) is a British-Italian alpine skier. He competed in three events at the 1972 Winter Olympics. He holds both British and Italian citizenship. He is the father-in-law of Princess Beatrice. In 2012, he was reported as residing in La Garde-Freinet, France. He is a member of an Italian noble family, whose family seat is the Villa Mapelli Mozzi. Penrith (, , ) is a market town and civil parish in the county of Cumbria, England, about south of Carlisle.
