David Stewart (21 May 1924 — 2 May 2006) was a Scottish people, Scottish first-class cricketer. Stewart was born at Perth, Scotland, Perth in May 1924 and was educated there at Perth Academy. A club cricketer for Perthshire, Stewart made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Scotland national cricket team, Scotland against Ireland cricket team, Ireland at North_Inch#Cricket, Perth in 1950. He took 2 wickets for 12 runs in the Ireland first innings with his right-arm Seam bowling, medium pace bowling, dismissing Stanley Bergin and Roderick Gill. He batted twice in the match, being dismissed for 2 runs in the Scotland first innings by James Boucher (cricketer), James Boucher, while in their second innings he ended not out, unbeaten on 5. Outside of cricket, Stewart was a Meat and Livestock Commission Office manager. He died at Perth in May 2006. David John Haskins (born 24 April 1957, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England), better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, and writer. He is the bassist for the gothic rock band Bauhaus and for Love and Rockets. He has composed the scores for a number of plays and films, and also wrote and directed his own plays, ''Silver for Gold (The Odyssey of Edie Sedgwick)'', in 2008, which was restaged at REDCAT in Los Angeles in 2011, and ''The Chanteuse and The Devil's Muse'' in 2011. David Stewart (born 1958 in Lancaster) is a British photographer and director, working in advertising and fine art photography. He is noted for his surreal and often humorous large format portraits. Stewart began his career photographing tourists on Morecambe promenade and punk bands, including The Clash and The Ramones, as they performed at local venues. After studying photography at Blackpool and Fylde College, Stewart moved to London in 1981, assisting for three years before setting up his own studio. He has since become one of the most sought-after photographers in the U.K. splitting his time been working on personal projects and advertising commissions. His first collection Cabbage, a surrealistic tribute to the much-maligned vegetable, was accompanied by a short film that was nominated for a BAFTA in 1995. David Stewart (born 1945 in Ayr, Scotland) is the long-time master blender and malt master for William Grant & Sons distillers. Early life and education Born in Ayr on the west coast of Scotland in 1945, David Stewart started work at William Grant & Sons as an apprentice in 1962, the year before Single Malt Scotch Whisky was first officially exported to England, when Glenfiddich became the first single malt to be enjoyed outside Scotland. David Stewart (1 June 1772 – 1829) was a Scottish soldier and later author and antiquarian, whose book, ''Sketches of the Character, Manners, and Present State of the Highlanders of Scotland'' published in two volumes by Archibald Constable and Co in Edinburgh in 1822, was responsible for largely creating the modern image of the Highlander, the clans and Scottish regiments and is considered the foundation for all subsequent work on highlanders, clans and Scottish regiments system. Stewart was a Major General in the Black Watch regiment. In 1819, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. His proposers were Lord Gray, Sir George Steuart Mackenzie and Sir David Brewster.
