David Skinns
David Andrew Skinns (born 1 February 1982) is an English professional golfer. Skinns was born in Lincoln, England. He was the losing finalist in the 2000 Boys Amateur Championship. He attended the University of Tennessee and majored in psychology. Skinns competed on the NGA Hooters Tour and won seven times on the tour between 2008 and 2012. He played in a number of event on the Web.com Tour in 2012 and 2014 and on the PGA Tour Canada in 2013, 2015 and 2016. In 2017, Skinns started the season Web.com Tour season finale 115th on the money list. A T2 at the WinCo Foods Portland Open moved him to 58th. Skinns failed to earn a PGA Tour card, but was guaranteed full Web.com Tour status for the first time in his career. The next year, Skinns earned his first win on a major professional tour at the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no graduating class in 2020, and the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour season extended into 2021. The 2005 Palmer Cup was held on June 8–9, 2005 on the Irish Course, Whistling Straits, Haven, Wisconsin. The United States won 14 to 10. Format On Wednesday, there were four matches of four-ball in the morning, followed by eight singles matches in the afternoon. Four foursomes matches were played on the Thursday morning with a further eight singles in the afternoon. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. From 1997 until 2002 the United States played Great Britain & Ireland while from 2003 to 2017 the United States played a European team. The Men's Home Internationals were an amateur team golf championship for men between the four Home Nations. Ireland was represented by the whole island of Ireland.The event was organised by The R&A. The inaugural event was held in 1932 and the venue cycled between the four nations. The winning team received the Raymond Trophy, presented by Raymond Oppenheimer, an ex-England and Walker Cup captain, in 1952. Yu Chun-an (, born 11 August 1998), also known as Kevin Yu, is a professional golfer from Taiwan. Amateur career Yu has represented his country at multiple international competitions. He took the gold medal at the 2013 Asian Youth Games and won individual bronze and team gold at the 2014 Asian Games. He competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. He also competed at the 2017 Summer Universiade, winning bronze medals in the individual and team events.
