Davie Shaw
David Shaw (5 May 1917 – 20 January 1977) was a Scottish professional football player, coach and manager. Playing career Shaw was a left back who played for Hibernian before and after World War II, including an appearance in the 1946–47 Scottish Cup final, and was captain of the league championship winning side of 1947–48; he later signed for Aberdeen, with one of his final appearances being the Scottish Cup Final of 1953 against Rangers. Shaw's brother Jock was a Rangers player, and the brothers turned out together for the Scotland team in a match against Switzerland in 1946. ''Condensed Classics'' (also known as ''Condensed Classics with Dave Shaw'') was a television show that aired on the Canadian Channel Movieola. Although only 25 episodes were produced, the show was run and rerun on Movieola, and later on its sister station Silver Screen Classics. The program was aired as late as April 2013 on ''Silver Screen Classics'', usually late on Saturday nights. The Show ''Condensed Classics'' was an attempt at reviving the "horror host" format of the 1950s and 1960s. The program aired movies such as ''The Terror of Tiny Town'' and ''Gorgo'', which were condensed from their original running time to about 40 minutes, presided over by host and head writer Dave Shaw. The hosted segments of the show would appear four times a broadcast, and rarely had anything to do with the movies. The son of William Shaw by his wife Alice Frid, David Douglas Ernest Shaw was born in Kent, where he lived all his life. David Lawrence Shaw (14 November 1950 – 23 August 2022) was a British politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP). He was the Conservative Member for Dover from the 1987 general election until the 1997 election, when he lost the seat to Gwyn Prosser of Labour. He was one of the first British Members of Parliament to use the Internet to communicate. Early life Shaw was born on 14 November 1950. He was educated at the King's College School, Wimbledon and the City of London Polytechnic. David Shaw (1719–1810) was a Scottish minister who served as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 1775. Life He was born around 1719 the third son of Rev Alexander Shaw of Edinkillie in Morayshire and his wife, Grizel Munro. His brothers included Rev John Shaw of Greenock and Rev Andrew Shaw of St Madoes. In November 1743 David was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Forres. He was ordained as minister of Coylton in Ayrshire in 1749 and remained there all of his life. In 1775 he succeeded Rev Robert Henry as Moderator of the Church of Scotland. The 2013 AMA National Speedway Championship Series was staged over three rounds, which were held at Ventura (June 19), Victorville (September 22) and Auburn (September 27). David Lorenzo Shaw (born July 31, 1972) is an American football coach. He served as head coach of the Stanford Cardinal football team from 2011 to 2022. Shaw was the team's offensive coordinator for the entire tenure of his predecessor, head coach Jim Harbaugh, from 2007 to 2010. Previously, Shaw was a four-year letter winner playing as a wide receiver for the Cardinal from 1991 to 1994, where he was coached by Dennis Green and Bill Walsh. Prior to returning to Stanford as offensive coordinator, Shaw was Harbaugh's passing game coordinator at the University of San Diego and an assistant coach in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and Baltimore Ravens.
