David Salom
David Salom Fuentes (born 16 October 1984) is a Spanish professional motorcycle racer. He won the 2006 Spanish Supersport Championship. Motorcycle racing career Fuentes was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. In 2011 he reached second place at Silverstone, third at Aragon and achieved three pole positions at Phillip Island, Silverstone and Estoril. In 2012, Salom was replaced by Iván Silva in the Avintia Blusens team from Motegi after disappointing results. For 2013, Salom has signed to the Czech-based Intermoto Ponyexpres team.Intermoto

2008 Supersport World Championship Season
The 2008 Supersport World Championship was the tenth FIM Supersport World Championship season—the twelfth taking into account the two held under the name of Supersport World Series. The season started on 23 February at Losail and finished on 2 November at Portimão after 13 rounds. The championship supported the Superbike World Championship at every round with the exception of Salt Lake City. The season was marred by the death of Craig Jones as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at the Brands Hatch round. 2007 Silverstone Superbike World Championship Round
The 2007 Silverstone Superbike World Championship round was the seventh round of the 2007 Superbike World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of May 25–27, 2007, at the 3.561 km Silverstone International Circuit in the United Kingdom. Troy Bayliss won the only Superbike race, as race 2 was cancelled because of heavy rain. Anthony West won the Supersport race. Races summary Heavy rains made for a wet first Superbike race and Supersport race at Silverstone and also caused the second Superbike race to be cancelled. Troy Bayliss took the win in the only Superbike race over Noriyuki Haga. Third was Troy Corser. Roberto Rolfo rode a good race to score fourth position, Regis Laconi took fifth place, his best result of the year so far.
