David R. Brinkley
David R. Brinkley (born September 24, 1959) is the Secretary of Budget and Management for the U.S. state of Maryland. He was appointed to the position by Governor Larry Hogan in 2015. Early life, education, and pre-political career David Brinkley was born in Frederick, Maryland, the only son of Dr. George Ross Brinkley and Jean Brinkley. He was raised in New Market, Maryland and graduated from Linganore High School in 1977. He attended Gettysburg College and received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1981. Bryn Mawr, pronounced , from Welsh for big hill, is a census-designated place (CDP) located across three townships: Radnor Township and Haverford Township in Delaware County, and Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
