David Price (East India Company Officer)
David Price (1762 – 16 December 1835) was a Welsh orientalist and officer in the East India Company. Life Price was born at Merthyr Cynog, near Brecon. After the death of his father, a curate, Price was educated at Christ College, Brecon, before matriculating on 5 November 1779 as a sizar of Jesus College, Cambridge, but was nearly penniless by summer 1780 and had to leave the University. He decided to join the East India Company's army, becoming a cadet in it due to his father's friends' influence, sailing for India on the ''Essex'' in 1781 and reaching Madras in August that year before volunteering to serve in southern India and returning to the ''Essex'' to take him there. He participated in the siege of Negapatam and the capture of Trincomali in Ceylon during the passage to Bombay, arriving on 22 April 1782 and being appointed the following November to command the 2nd Battalion of Bombay sepoys. David M. Price (born October 18, 1966) is an American journalist and weather forecaster who is currently working for WNBC-TV in New York as a weekday afternoon weatherman. Price is perhaps best known for his time on CBS television's ''The Early Show'', where he was the daily forecaster and a primary fill-in co-host for Harry Smith. He was the co-host and weatherman for Fox 5 WNYW's Good Day New York from 1999-2003. In 2012, he was brought back to replace Greg Kelly as Rosanna Scotto's co-anchor, as Kelly was promoted to replace Ernie Anastos as the station's lead anchor for its evening newscasts. David John Chandler Price (born 1969) is a British choral conductor and organist. Early life and education Price studied organ at Trinity College of Music, graduating in 1991. He was also organ scholar at Croydon Parish Church. During his last year at Trinity, he was organ scholar at Rochester Cathedral under Barry Ferguson. Upon graduating, he became assistant organist at Ely Cathedral, succeeding Jeremy Filsell (who had been appointed Director of Music at St Luke's Church, Chelsea). ''All Men Are Liars'' is a 1995 Australian comedy film written and directed by Gerard Lee and starring Toni Pearen and David Price. Plot Barry decides to sell the family piano that belongs to his wife Irene. This results in Irene leaving him and their son Mick. Mick desperately wants his mother to return home and so he decides to save up some money to buy the piano back. The town's annual harvest festival is about to commence and an all-female band fronted by the beautiful Angela arrives to participate. Mick develops a wacky scheme in which he dresses up in his mother's clothes and becomes 'Michelle', in hopes of joining the girl band to make the money he needs.
