David Porter (Canadian Politician)
David Porter (1849 - August 7, 1893) was an Ontario businessman and political figure. He represented Bruce North in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1891 to 1893 as a Liberal member. A sawmill (saw mill, saw-mill) or lumber mill is a facility where logs are cut into lumber. Modern sawmills use a motorized saw to cut logs lengthwise to make long pieces, and crosswise to length depending on standard or custom sizes (dimensional lumber). The "portable" sawmill is of simple operation. The log lies flat on a steel bed, and the motorized saw cuts the log horizontally along the length of the bed, by the operator manually pushing the saw. Halton County is a former county in the Canadian province of Ontario, with an area of . It is also one of the oldest counties in Canada. The Province of Canada (or the United Province of Canada or the United Canadas) was a British colony in North America from 1841 to 1867.
