David Perry (politician)
David G. Perry (born July 31, 1952, in Oak Hill, West Virginia) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates representing District 32 since January 12, 2013. Perry served consecutively from January 2001 until January 2013 in a District 29 seat. Education Perry earned his AS from Beckley Junior College and his BA and MA from Marshall University. West Virginia Legislature
The West Virginia Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of West Virginia. A bicameral legislative body, the legislature is split between the upper Senate and the lower House of Delegates. It was established under Article VI of the West Virginia Constitution following the state's split from Virginia during the American Civil War in 1863. As with its neighbor and former constituent Virginia General Assembly, the legislature's lower house is also referred to as a "House of Delegates." Margaret Anne Staggers
Margaret Anne "Peggy" Staggers (born January 12, 1945) was a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates and served as an Assistant Majority Whip. Staggers is an emergency physician. Early life and education Staggers was born on January 12, 1945, at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in St. Mary's County, Maryland and was the eldest child and daughter of Harley Orrin Staggers, Sr. (August 3, 1907 – August 20, 1991) and his wife Mary Casey Staggers. At the time of her birth, Staggers' father was serving as a lieutenant commander in the United States Naval Air Corps in both the European and Pacific theaters during World War II. In 1948, Staggers' father was elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from West Virginia's 2nd congressional district where he served until 1981. The Mountain Party is a political party in West Virginia, affiliated with the Green Party of the United States. It is a progressive and environmentalist party whose party platform primarily focuses on "Grassroots Democracy", "Social Justice & Equal Opportunity", "Ecological Wisdom" and "Non-Violence".
