David Peacock (author)
David Peacock ( – 3 August 1853) was a Scottish journalist, editor, author and historian. In 1849, he published the 632-page ''Perth: Its Annals and Archives'', which is regarded as a comprehensive account of the history of Perth. Born in Forfar, he moved to Perth "in the prime of his manhood", and lived there for over thirty years. He became known as a "highly esteemed, respectable, and useful citizen". Shortly after arriving in Perth, he began working as the Precentor of the East Parish Church, while also filling the role of the music teacher in the Burgh Seminary. He led the choir at Blair Church when Queen Victoria visited the Duke of Atholl in 1842. He also worked as a reporter for the ''Perth Courier'' and, later, the ''Constitutional'', after it moved operations to Perth from Dundee. He succeeded George Buist as its editor. Dave Peacock (businessman)
Dave Peacock (born May 26, 1968) is the chief operating officer of Continental Grain Inc., based in New York. He is the former president of the Anheuser-Busch InBev subsidiary, Anheuser-Busch and President of Schnuck Markets in St. Louis. Career He earned his undergraduate degree in journalism (advertising) from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas in 1990 and an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. He succeeded August Busch IV as president of Anheuser-Busch in 2008 after the acquisition of Anheuser-Busch was completed by InBev on November 18, 2008. Dave Peacock (musician)
David Victor Peacock (born 24 May 1945) is an English musician and bass guitarist. He was brought up in Ponders End and the Freezywater areas of Enfield. Peacock is best known as having been one half of the English musical duo Chas & Dave between 1974 and the death of Chas Hodges in 2018. Career Earlier in his career in the 1960s, Peacock was in a group called the Rolling Stones (formed in 1960 before the more famous one), as well as The Tumbleweeds, and worked with Mick Greenwood and Jerry Donahue. He met Chas Hodges in 1963 when he and his friend gave Hodges a lift home, and became friends when they found they had similar taste in music. Later in the late 1960s they became part of a group called Black Claw together with Harvey Hinsley and Mick Burt, and recorded tracks with Albert Lee. David Roscoe "Emp" Peacock (March 15, 1890 – January 28, 1944) was a college football player and coach, as well as a politician. David Craig Peacock (born 30 January 1970) is a Scottish international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Peacock won the 2002 Hong Kong International Bowls Classic singles title. He claimed the triples gold medal at the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship with Jim McIntyre and Willie Wood. Four years later he repeated the success when winning the triples at the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship with Wayne Hogg and Willie Wood. In 2011 he won the pairs bronze medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. The following year he won his third World Championship gold in the triples at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship with Graeme Archer and Darren Burnett, he also won a fours bronze medal.
