David Ernest Oldfield (born 25 June 1958) is a former Australian Politics of Australia, politician who co-founded and was deputy leader of the One Nation (Australia), Pauline Hanson's One Nation party. Oldfield was initially involved in politics as a member of Manly Council, a Liberal Party of Australia, Liberal candidate for Electoral district of Manly, Manly and a Political consulting, political advisor to then-Liberal Party of Australia, Liberal Party minister (and future Prime Minister of Australia), Tony Abbott. One Nation NSW
One Nation NSW was a minor Australian political party that operated exclusively in the state of New South Wales (NSW) from 2000 to 2007. The party was a splinter group of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation (PHON). It was a socially conservative Right-wing populist party with policies similar to that of the One Nation party in Queensland and Western Australia. These included reduced immigration levels, an end to Australia’s policy of multiculturalism, and an end to what it perceived to be overly favourable treatment of Aboriginal Australians. Edward Oldfield
Edward Peate Oldfield (23 August 1920 – 2 December 1990) was an Australian politician, and a member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1951 until 1965 representing the seats of Maylands and Mount Lawley at different times. Biography Oldfield was born in Maylands, an inner Perth suburb, to Ernest Henry Oldfield, a commercial traveller, and Lena Eva (née Peate). He attended Victoria Park Primary School and Perth Boys' School, and obtained work as a truck driver by 1940. On 20 May 1940, with Australia actively involved in the Second World War, Oldfield enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force and served in Egypt, Syria and New Guinea with the HQ Co. 2/16th Battalion. On 24 November 1944, he married Margaret Smith at St George's Cathedral, Perth, with whom he had two sons. After attaining the rank of Private, he was discharged in 1945.
