David Nicholl (rugby Player)
David Nicholl (14 June 1871 – 11 March 1918) Scrum.com was a Wales, Welsh international rugby union forward who played club rugby for Llanelli RFC, Llanelli and international rugby for Wales national rugby union team, Wales. Rugby career Nicholl first played rugby for Llandovery College, following his older brother Charles Nicholl. Unlike Charles, Nicholl did not go to university and settled in Llanelli as a bank cashier.Jenkins (1991), pg 118. Nicholl represented Llanelli at club level, and in 1894, he was selected for his one and only international cap for the Welsh national team. Llanegwad
Llanegwad () is a community located in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The population taken at the 2011 census was 1,473. Llanegwad is built up mainly of small farms and detached homes. The community is bordered by the communities of: Llanfihangel Rhos-y-Corn; Llanfynydd; Llangathen; Llanarthney; Abergwili; and Llanllawddog, all being in Carmarthenshire. Villages include Cwrt Henri, Nantgaredig, and Pontargothi. Services Most of all homes located in Llanegwad are older Victorian properties, as well as a number of more modern homes. The area has few amenities any more.The village has lost much of the services it once had, an example being Llanegwad School; formerly "Llanegwad National School" closing down in 1948. Neath RFC
Neath Rugby Football Club ( cy, Clwb Rygbi Castell-Nedd) is a Welsh rugby union club which plays in the WRU Championship. The club's home ground is The Gnoll, Neath. The team is known as the All Blacks because of the team colours: black with only a white cross pattée as an emblem. Neath RFC is the oldest rugby club in Wales, having been formed in 1871. They are feeder club to the Ospreys regional team. History Early history Neath Rugby Football club was established in 1871 by a consortium of ten enthusiasts, their captain at the time, T. P. Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; ) is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. Frederick Osborne Hutchinson (1867–1941) was a Wales, Welsh international rugby union back row who played club rugby for Maesteg RFC, Maesteg, Bridgend Ravens, Bridgend and Neath RFC, Neath and international rugby for Wales national rugby union team, Wales. Rugby career Hutchinson originally played club rugby for his local team Maesteg RFC, Maesteg, before eventually joining one of the largest clubs in the area, Neath.
