David Nash (cricketer)
David Charles Nash (born 19 January 1978) is a retired English cricketer who spent the entirety of his long career with Middlesex. He spent 13 seasons at the county, playing over 250 first team matches, primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was honoured by England at Under-19 and A-team level, but never played a full international for his country. David Nash (linguist)
David George Nash (born 1951) is a prominent Australian field linguist, specialising in the Aboriginal languages of Australia. Brought up in Parkes, New South Wales, he received a BA in pure mathematics from the Australian National University followed by an M.A. in Linguistics. He then went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied with Ken Hale and received his PhD in Linguistics in 1980. Before returning to Australia, he worked on the Lexicon Project at MIT. In 2005 he was Ken Hale Professor at the Linguistic Society of America Summer Institute. He works as a consultant for various Aboriginal organisations. He is also a Visiting Fellow of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies. Nash is an expert on Warlpiri and other languages of the Northern Territory of Australia as well as on the oral history of the Aboriginal peoples of this area. Nash is an American physician, scholar and public health expert, known to be ''Founding Dean Emeritus'', and named chair Professor of Health Policy at the Jefferson College of Population Health. Noted for his academic work to promote public accountability for clinical research outcomes, Nash is also a known voice on population health policies. He has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific articles, published many books on healthcare subjects, and acted as a chief editor in several medical journals. Career Nash graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Rochester (1977-1981). David Nash (rugby Union)
David Nash (15 July 1939 – 30 October 2016) was a Wales international rugby union player. A number 8 forward, he attained 6 caps for Wales between 1960 and 1961. Nash was selected for the 1962 British Lions tour of South Africa. He played his club rugby for Ebbw Vale. In 1967 Nash was appointed as the first national coach of the Wales national rugby union team. He was appointed to coach Wales for the season, but having won one and drawn one out of the five international matches played, he resigned when the Welsh Rugby Union refused to allow him to accompany Wales on their 1968 tour of Argentina. Eventually, the WRU reversed their decision, appointing Clive Rowlands Clive Rowlands OBE (born 14 May 1938) is a former Welsh rugby union footballer and later coach.
