David McKenna (footballer)
David Leslie McKenna (born 19 September 1986) is a Scottish footballer, who plays for Renfrew FC as a striker. He has also played for St Mirren, Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion, Brechin City, Stranraer, East Stirlingshire and Annan Athletic. Career Born in Paisley, McKenna started his career at St Mirren. On 7 January 2006 he joined Cowdenbeath on loan, scoring 11 goals in a half season spell which saw him play a large role in the Blue Brazil winning their first league title in 67 years. Oddly enough he received another league championship medal that season from St Mirren who won the First Division. In June 2007, McKenna moved to Stirling Albion. During his time at Stirling he was part of the squad that won the 2009–10 Scottish Second Division. After playing over 100 games for Stirling, he then moved to Brechin City at the end of the 2009–10 season. During three seasons at Brechin, he once again went on to play over 100 games for the club. David McKenna (writer)
David McKenna is an American screenwriter and producer. He is best known for writing the screenplays for ''American History X'' (1998), ''Blow'' (2001) and ''S.W.A.T.'' (2003). He is also a film professor at Columbia University and Barnard College. Career McKenna wrote and sold ''American History X'' when he was 26. It drew from his upbringing around the punk music scene, as well as interviews with real skinheads. The film became the focus of a post-production dispute between director Tony Kaye and lead actor Edward Norton. Made on a budget of $20 million, the film grossed $24 million at the worldwide box office. He then wrote the screenplays for ''Blow'', about American cocaine smuggler George Jung, and ''Get Carter'', a remake of the 1971 film of the same name, starring Michael Caine. David McKenna (politician)
David Terence McKenna (24 January 1957 – 19 March 2014) was a Canadian optometrist, businessman and politician. He represented the electoral district of Glen Stewart-Bellevue Cove in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 2003 to 2007. He was a Progressive Conservative. A resident of Stratford, Prince Edward Island, McKenna attended the University of Prince Edward Island, and graduated from the optometry program at the University of Waterloo. He owned and operated Family Vision Centre in Charlottetown for 32 years. He entered provincial politics in the 2003 election, winning the Glen Stewart-Bellevue Cove riding. In the 2007 election, he lost to Liberal Cynthia Dunsford by 81 votes in the renamed Stratford-Kinlock riding. Dave McKenna
Dave McKenna (May 30, 1930 – October 18, 2008) was an American jazz pianist known primarily as a solo pianist and for his " three-handed" swing style. He was a significant figure in the evolution of jazz piano. Career He was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, United States. At age 15, McKenna worked in big bands with Charlie Ventura (1949) and Woody Herman's Orchestra (1950–51). He then spent two years in the military, in the Korea War, before returning to Ventura (1953–54). During his career he worked in swing and dixieland settings with Al Cohn, Eddie Condon, Stan Getz, Gene Krupa, Zoot Sims, Joe Venuti, and often with Bob Wilber and Bobby Hackett. McKenna released his first solo album in 1955. During the 1980s, he worked as a pianist at the Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston.
