David Lyons (actor)
David Lyons (born 16 April 1976) is an Australian actor. He is known for his roles as Josh Holiday in the Nine Network navy drama ''Sea Patrol'' (2007-2009), Dr. Simon Brenner in the NBC medical drama '' ER'' (2008-2009) and as General Sebastian Monroe in the NBC post-apocalyptic drama ''Revolution'' (2012-2014). Early life and education Lyons was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He graduated from Yarra Valley Grammar school in 1993 and continued on to graduate from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2004. Career In 2005, Lyons had a recurring role on the Seven Network police drama ''Blue Heelers'' and guest-starred on the Seven Network/Network Ten/10 Peach, Eleven soap opera ''Neighbours''. David Lyons (rugby Union, Born 1980)
David Lyons (born 15 June 1980) is a rugby union player for Stade Français. He plays Number Eight and has also played for the Wallabies. Playing career Lyons was born in Orange, New South Wales. From his debut in 2000 he played 83 consecutive games for the Waratahs, a record for an Australia player. In 2004 Lyons was awarded the John Eales medal as Wallabies player of the year. Lyons signed a 4-year contract with Welsh team the Scarlets for the 2008–09 Magners League season, debuting against Bath Rugby in August 2008. In his first season, he remarkably started in all 30 of the Scarlets' league and cup matches. In July 2009 Lyons became vice-captain of the Scarlets for the 2009–10 Magners League season. David Lyons (born February 6, 1935) is an American moral, political and legal philosopher who is emeritus professor of philosophy and of law at Boston University. David Lyons (swimmer)
David Chandler "Dave" Lyons (born January 23, 1943) is an American former competition swimmer and Pan American Games gold medalist. Lyons earned a gold medal as a member of the first-place U.S. team in the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 1963 Pan American Games. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, he swam for the gold medal-winning U.S. team in the preliminary heats of the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay. Under the 1964 Olympic rules he was ineligible to receive a medal, however, because he did swim in the event final. Lyons began his competitive swimming at New Trier High School, Winnetka, Illinois. He was part of the high school national championship team in 1961. The team later placed third in the 1961 AAU championships.
