David Lynn Jones
David Lynn Jones (born January 15, 1950) is an American country music singer-songwriter. Between 1987 and 1994, Jones released four studio albums. He also charted four singles on ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Country Songs, Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. His highest charting single, "Bonnie Jean (Little Sister)," peaked at number ten in 1987. Biography David Lynn Jones was born January 15, 1950, in Bexar, Arkansas. In the 1970s, he played bass in a local band called Freddy Morrison & the Bandana Blues, and had a minor songwriting success with Randy Cornor's hit "Heart Don't Fail Me Now". By 1986, Jones had also written "Living in the Promiseland", a No. 1 single on the Hot Country Songs charts for Willie Nelson. He also recorded the song's demo and played all but one instrument on it. ''Mixed Emotions'' is the third album by David Lynn Jones. It was released May 5, 1992 by Liberty Records. Critical reception Brian Mansfield writes for AllMusic, "In his heart he's still country, but he revs the tempos, cranks the guitars, and lays on the horns as he takes off screaming into the Arkansas Delta." AllMusic rated the album 4½ out of a possible 5 stars. Michael Franklin of ''Outlaw Magazine'' writes in an interview with David Lynn Jones, "Jones released ''Mixed Emotions'' (on Liberty Records) in 1992, containing exactly zero hits and no charting singles. It did, however, have a couple of songs about religious wars, specifically in the Middle East ("The Land Of Ala", "Judgement Day"). Mick Ronson
Michael Ronson (26 May 1946 – 29 April 1993) was an English musician, songwriter, arranger, and producer. He achieved critical and commercial success working with David Bowie as the guitarist of the Spiders from Mars. He was a session musician who recorded five studio albums with Bowie followed by four with Ian Hunter, and also worked as a sideman in touring bands with Van Morrison and Bob Dylan. Ronson and Bowie also produced Lou Reed's ''Transformer'' with Ronson playing lead guitar and piano and writing string arrangements, which brought mainstream recognition. The album is considered an influential landmark of the glam rock genre, anchored by Reed's most successful single, " Walk on the Wild Side". ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''.
