David Lucas (cricketer)
David Scott Lucas (born 19 August 1978) is an English first-class cricketer, who last played for Worcestershire County Cricket Club. He previously played for Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Northamptonshire. He won the NBC Denis Compton Award in 2000. Career A left-arm fast-medium bowler, he first played for Nottinghamshire Second XI in 1996 and made his debut for Nottinghamshire in first-class cricket in 1999. He played at Trent Bridge until 2003, although he was selected only for one day games in his latter two seasons. Seeking first-team cricket, Lucas moved to Yorkshire for the 2005 season, but failed to cement a place in the team. He played for Lincolnshire in the Minor Counties Championship in 2006, and then moved to Northamptonshire in 2007. After a poor start especially in one day cricket, he became a first-team starter in all forms of the game. David Anthony Lucas (born 23 November 1977) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is a professional goalkeeping coach Between 1994 and 2015, Lucas made over 300 appearances in the Football League, including 123 for Preston North End. Lucas began his career at his hometown club Preston North End in the Football League Third Division. He spent time on loan at Darlington, Scunthorpe United, and Sheffield Wednesday, before signing for Sheffield Wednesday in 2004. He then joined rivals Barnsley in 2007, but only made three appearances for them before signing with Leeds United in the same year. David Charles Lucas (born March 22, 1932) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defencemen who played in one National Hockey League game for the Detroit Red Wings. Career Lucas played in one National Hockey League game for the Detroit Red Wings during the 1962–63 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1952 to 1969, was mainly spent with the Johnstown Jets of the Eastern Hockey League. David Lucas (born David Helfman April 21, 1937) is an American rock and roll composer, singer, and music producer. He has written thousands of commercial jingles, such as AT&T's " Reach Out and Touch Someone." In 1981, he received a Clio Award for composing the music to Pepsi's " Catch That Pepsi Spirit." As a record producer, he worked with many new artists such as Blue Öyster Cult. On the 1976 Blue Öyster Cult song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" which he co-produced, Lucas sang backup vocals and came up with the idea for using a cowbell, parodied by Christopher Walken in the " More cowbell" skit on ''Saturday Night Live''. David Lucas (1802 – 22 August 1881) was a British mezzotinter, best known for his association with John Constable. Life Lucas was born in Geddington Chase, Northamptonshire, and became a pupil of Samuel William Reynolds after a chance encounter in 1820. He moved to London as an apprentice, and had produced his own work by 1827. By 1829 Lucas knew John Constable, and worked intensively on engravings for Constable's ''Various Subjects of Landscape, Characteristic of English Scenery'' from 1830 to 1832. He continued to produce works for the family after Constable died in 1837. Lucas died on 22 August 1881, in a workhouse in Fulham.
