David Lindley (musician)
David Perry Lindley (born March 21, 1944) is an American musician who founded the band El Rayo-X, and has worked with many other performers including Jackson Browne, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, Warren Zevon, Curtis Mayfield and Dolly Parton. He has mastered such a wide variety of instruments that ''Acoustic Guitar'' magazine referred to Lindley not as a multi-instrumentalist, but instead as a "maxi-instrumentalist." The majority of the instruments that Lindley plays are string instruments, including the acoustic and electric guitar, upright and electric bass, banjo, lap steel guitar, mandolin, hardingfele, bouzouki, cittern, bağlama, gumbus, charango, cümbüş, oud, and zither. David Lindley (physicist)
David Lindley (born 4 December 1956) is a British theoretical physicist and author. He holds a B.A. in theoretical physics from Cambridge University (1975–1978) and a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Sussex (1978–1981). Then he was a postdoctoral researcher at Cambridge University. From 1983 to 1986, he was a Research Fellow in the Theoretical Astrophysics Group at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. He then served as Technical Editor and Writer with the Central Design Group for the Superconducting Supercollider at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley, California. He was an Associate Editor at ''Nature'' (1987–1993), a Senior Editor of ''Science'' (1994–1995), and an Associate Editor of ''Science News'' (1996–2000). Since 2000, he has been a freelance science writer and consultant. David Lindley (born 23 April 1979) is an English badminton player and coach. The right-handler, Lindley started playing badminton at aged six, and in the junior event, he becoming boys' doubles U-19 national champion in 1997 and 1998. Lindley junior also won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 1997 European Junior Championships in Nymburk, Czech Republic. In the international event, he won double title at the 2000 Scottish and Iceland International, and at the 2006 Slovak International tournaments in the men's and mixed doubles event. In the national event, Lindley who represented Nottinghamshire, was the men's doubles finalist at the national championships in 2004 partnered with Kristian Roebuck, 2006 with Simon Archer, 2007 with Chris Langridge, and in 2008 with Richard Eidestedt, Now he work as assistant pathway coach at the England national badminton team.
