The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) is an organisation that advocates unilateral nuclear disarmament by the United Kingdom, international nuclear disarmament and tighter international arms regulation through agreements such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. It opposes military action that may result in the use of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons and the building of nuclear power stations in the UK. CND began in November 1957 when a committee was formed, including Canon John Collins as chairman, Bertrand Russell as president and Peggy Duff as organising secretary. The committee organised CND's first public meeting at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, on 17 February 1958. Since then, CND has periodically been at the forefront of the peace movement in the UK. David "Knighter" Knight, (born 31 May 1978), is a three-time world champion enduro rider from the Isle of Man. But holds 5 World Titles altogether. After competing in the Enduro FIM Junior Cup, Knight debuted in the World Enduro Championship riding for Yamaha. He finished runner-up in the 250 cc class to Juha Salminen in 2001 and to Samuli Aro in 2002. In 2003, he moved to the biggest 500 cc class and placed fourth. For the 2004 season, Knight moved to the KTM team and finished second to his teammate Aro in the Enduro 3 class. In 2005, continuing in the E3 class, he took his first world title and also won the International Six Days Enduro outright. In 2006, he posted a "perfect" season, winning all 14 rounds of the E3 WEC season, also winning almost every special test at each event. David Lloyd Knight (born October 24, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter, composer and music producer. His music is a fusion of acoustic and electronic elements, blending self-produced live and sampled music with multiple instruments. He was the lead singer of ambient rock banDay One Symphonyuntil early 2008, when the group disbanded. He has continued to release music as a solo artist, and joined the band Low Roar in 2017 as a touring member. In 2021, Knight began releasing music with former Day One Symphony drummer Steve Barry under the name Jymno. Dave Simpson (born January 11, 1983 as David Anthony Simpson Knight) is a Canadian retired footballer. Youth career Simpson began his youth career with North Scarborough SC, where he played until he was 17. During his time with NSSC, he earned a trial with Southampton F.C. following an appearance at the Welsh International Super Cup, where he was named the Golden Boot Winner, scoring 14 goals in 5 matches. He then joined the Erin Mills Soccer Club, as part of their Professional Soccer Academy (PSA). In 2001, he travelled to Stuttgart, Germany with PSA, where they played against various teams including against the youth academy of VfB Stuttgart, where he impressed the Stuttgart coach, who got Simpson to play the second half with his team. Tuffy Knight
David "Tuffy" Knight (born May 17, 1936) is a former coach of Canadian university football and a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Knight was a high school football, track, and basketball coach in Southeastern Ohio who moved to Canada in 1965 to become head coach of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks in Waterloo, Ontario. He coached the Hawks until 1983. Knight then joined the Toronto Argonauts as director of player personnel, returning to Waterloo in 1988 to coach Laurier's cross-town rivals at the University of Waterloo. At the time, the Waterloo Warriors hadn't won a game since 1985. He missed the entire 1988 season after suffering a mild heart attack, and the Warriors had an 0-7 season in his absence. Knight came back to be Canadian university football coach of the year in 1989.
