David King (artist)
David Anthony King was an English American artist, (graphic) designer, and musician, a "significant figure in design history" best known as the designer of the symbol for the band Crass, "one of punk’s most recognizable and powerful designs". Life and career King was born on 10 April 1948 in Ilford, Essex and grew up in Gants Hill and Chigwell, Essex. At sixteen he enrolled at South East Essex Technical College in Dagenham to study Graphic Design, where in 1964 he met Penny Rimbaud and Gee Vaucher, who went on to form the band Crass. After graduating from South East Essex Technical College in 1967, for the next ten years King worked for a succession of London advertising agencies, first as a graphic designer and later as an art director, including for the firms DDB Worldwide (Doyle Dane Bernbach) and Blackburn Daley. David Wooster King was a student at Harvard University from 1912–1914, and subsequently enlisted in the French Foreign Legion in August 1917. Dave King is a novelist and poet who lives in Brooklyn, in New York City. He was born in 1955 in Meriden, Connecticut. His father, Henry T. King, was a U.S. prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials. His first novel, '' The Ha-Ha'', was published in 2005 and was named one of the best books of that year by ''The Washington Post'', ''The Christian Science Monitor'', and the ''Pittsburgh Tribune-Review''. The ''Ha-Ha'' was a finalist for The Book of the Month Club's Best Literary Fiction Award and the Quill Foundation's award for Best Debut Fiction and was named one of Amazon's Best Books of the Year (2005). David King (30 April 1943 – 11 May 2016) was a British graphic designer, design historian, and writer, who assembled one of the largest collections of Soviet graphics and photographs. From this collection, he created a series of books covering the history of the Russian Revolution and its associated art and propaganda. In addition to Soviet-era photographs, posters, and other materials, his collection included items related to the Spanish Civil War, Maoist China, the Weimar Republic, and American labour organizations. David King (hurdler)
David King (born 13 June 1994) is an English Olympic athlete specialising in the high hurdles. He is a three times British champion over 110m hurdles and three times British champion over 60m hurdles. He represented Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021) and made the semi-finals, finishing 19th overall. At the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships he took the title of 2023 UK national champion over 60m indoor hurdles. He then reached the finals of the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul where he finished 7th. He is currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, and trains with Phoenix Track Club under Coach Tim O'Neil. David Philip King (born 3 September 1990) is an English footballer who plays for Oxford City as a midfielder. Career King made his debut for MK Dons, coming on as a substitute in the 2–1 defeat to Cardiff City in the League Cup on 26 August 2008. In October 2009, King joined Conference National side Forest Green Rovers on a one-month loan. He made his debut for Forest Green on 3 October 2009 as a substitute on 77 minutes in a 1–0 away defeat against Mansfield Town. King's loan spell was terminated in December 2009. Along with three other players, he was released by MK Dons at the end of his contract on 30 June 2010. He then signed for Boreham Wood.
