David King (athlete)
David King (born 13 June 1994) is an English Olympic athlete specialising in the high hurdles. He is a three times British champion over 110m hurdles and three times British champion over 60m hurdles. He represented Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021) and made the semi-finals, finishing 19th overall. At the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships he took the title of 2023 UK national champion over 60m indoor hurdles. He then reached the finals of the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul where he finished 7th. He is currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, and trains with Phoenix Track Club under Coach Tim O'Neil. At the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships, David advanced to the final after successfully winning a draw of lots and finished 6th in the final. 2017 World Championships In Athletics – Men's 110 Metres Hurdles
The men's 110 metres hurdles at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics was held at the London Olympic Stadium on . Summary Russian defending champion Sergey Shubenkov, having missed the Olympics due to the drugs scandal, was competing as an Authorised Neutral Athlete. Since the last World Championships, Omar McLeod (Jamaica) had won the Indoor World title and the Olympics and had the year's fastest time. The returning silver medallist was his countryman Hansle Parchment, while the returning bronze medalist was world record holder Aries Merritt (United States), who underwent a kidney transplant four days after the previous championships.
