David Kernahan
David Kernahan (born 11 July 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer, who played with Carlton Football Club in the Victorian (VFL) and Australian Football Leagues (AFL), and Glenelg Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) in the 1980s and 1990s. The son of former Glenelg star Harry Kernahan and the younger brother of champion footballer Stephen Kernahan, much was expected of David Kernahan and after playing in two SANFL premierships with Glenelg,Hobbs, G. Glenelg Football Club
Glenelg Football Club is an Australian rules football team, which plays in the South Australian National Football League. The club is known as the "Tigers" (or the "Bays"), and their home ground is ACH Group Stadium (formerly Glenelg Oval), located in the southern coastal suburb of Glenelg East, South Australia. Club history The inaugural meeting of the Glenelg Football Club was held at the Glenelg Town Hall on Wednesday 10 March 1920, to form a club for players west of South Road to play in the B Grade. It was decided that the club colors would be red, yellow and black with white knickers. The Club participated in the B Grade (Reserves) Competition in 1920 and entered the South Australian League in 1921. 1992 AFL Season
The 1992 AFL season was the 96th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured fifteen clubs, ran from 21 March until 26 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top six clubs. Prior to the season, the AFL ceased its role as the administrative body for football in Victoria after 95 years: this role was transferred, along with control of the reserves competition, to the newly established Victorian State Football League (VSFL). John Nicholls Medal
The John Nicholls Medal (formerly the Robert Reynolds Trophy from 1934 to 2003) is an Australian rules football award given to the player(s) adjudged best and fairest for the Carlton Football Club for the season. The voting system as of the 2017 AFL season, consists of four coaches giving each player a ranking from one to four after each match. Players can receive a maximum of 16 votes for a game.
