David Kaplan (radio)
David Kaplan is an American columnist, radio and television personality who currently co-hosts ''Kap and J. Hood'' weekday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CST on ESPN 1000. He is the host of Unfiltered with David Kaplan on NBC Sports Chicago which airs weeknights at 6:00 p.m. He also hosts ''The Football Aftershow'', which airs after every Chicago Bears game on NBC Sports Chicago. He also has a highly popular YouTube page where he posts what he has popularized as the reKAP after every Cubs, White Sox, Bears and other Chicago and major sporting events. Early life and career Kaplan grew up in Skokie, Illinois and is a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he received a bachelor's degree in English. Hoop Dreams
''Hoop Dreams'' is a 1994 American documentary film directed by Steve James, and produced by Frederick Marx, James, and Peter Gilbert, with Kartemquin Films. It follows the story of two African-American high school students, William Gates and Arthur Agee, in Chicago and their dream of becoming professional basketball players. ''Hoop Dreams'' was originally intended to be a 30-minute short film produced for PBS; the filming of the special led to five years of filming and 250 hours of footage.
