David Hulme (rugby League)
David Hulme (born 6 February 1964) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Widnes, the Leeds Rhinos and the Salford City Reds, as a , or , i.e. number 6, or 7. Having started his playing career at St Bede's RC Junior School, David moved to St Joseph's RC Comprehensive in Widnes (where he played Centre for their RU team i.e. 13 or 14) whilst continuing playing Amateur Rugby League foHalton Hornetsin a set up that also produced future Widnes team mates Barry Dowd (1982–93) and Andy Currier. His first taste of the "limelight" was in the Widnes Under-11 team that won the "Curtain raiser" to the 1975 Challenge Cup Final, when Widnes played Warrington, and won the "Main Event" 14-7. David Russell Hulme
David Russell Hulme (born 19 June 1951) is a Welsh conductor and musicologist. He is an Emeritus Reader and the former Director of Music at Aberystwyth University and is known for his research and publications on the music of Arthur Sullivan, the composer of the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas. He is also an authority on the music of Edward German. Life and career Born in Machynlleth, Wales, the son of Lena Catherine ''née'' Cudworth (1925–1994) and Albert Lumley Lewis Hulme (1919–2009) and the grandson of railway engineer Albert Edward Hulme. Russell Hulme studied music under Ian Parrott at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and studied conducting with Sir Adrian Boult. The World Tomorrow (radio And Television)
''The World Tomorrow'' is a half-hour radio and television program which was sponsored by the Worldwide Church of God (originally known as the Radio Church of God) led by Herbert W. Armstrong. It originally ran from 1934 to 1994. A 15-minute version of the radio program (under varied translations of ''The World Tomorrow'') was broadcast in the French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish languages. Radio Herbert W. Armstrong secured a temporary 15-minute slot on KORE, Eugene, Oregon, on October 9, 1933. That became a permanent half-hour slot on January 7, 1934. Armstrong founded the Radio Church of God with the first broadcast in 1934, to serve as the home church for his pioneering broadcast-based ministry. Armstrong's radio program "eventually reached millions with its message of the imminent end of the world to be followed by the second coming of Christ."
