David Hargraves Hodgson (10 August 1939 – 5 June 2012) was a judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the highest court in the State of New South Wales, Australia, which forms part of the Australian court hierarchy. He was described by James Allsop, Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, as "one of the finest judges who ever graced a court in this country". Education Hodgson was educated at Sydney Grammar School from 1950–1956, where he played rugby, served in the cadets, was dux of the school, and topped the state in mathematics I and II. Hodgson attended the University of Sydney with a university and Commonwealth scholarship. David Hodgson (footballer)
David James Hodgson (born 6 August 1960) is an English former footballer who played for Middlesbrough, Liverpool, Norwich City, Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday, as well as top division clubs FC Metz in France, Mazda in Japan, and Jerez Club Deportivo in Spain. During his two-year spell at Liverpool he helped them win the First Division twice. He made 49 appearances in total between 1982 and 1984 . He was director of sport at bhpsport, a division of Blackett Hart & Pratt LLP. He left his post as Darlington manager in October 2006, where he was in his third spell in charge of the team, managing over 400 games. David Hodgson (artist)
David Hodgson (13 June 1798 – 24 April 1864) was a professional English painter of landscapes and an active member of the Norwich School of painters. He was the son of the amateur artist Charles Hodgson, whom he accompanied on a tour of Wales in 1805, when he was seven. He was taught art by John Crome at Norwich Grammar School. Hodgson never lived away from Norwich. As well as earning an income from the sale of his paintings, he was employed as a drawing master at the Grammar School, which allowed him to live a comfortable, if uneventful, existence. He was an accomplished painter of architectural subjects, and showed works on a regular basis at exhibitions in Norwich, London and elsewhere. His paintings have at times been confused with those of his father, as his artistic style did not develop significantly during his career. David Stuart Hodgson MBE (born 21 October 1959) is the directly elected mayor of the Borough of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England. Hodgson is the second elected mayor to represent the Liberal Democrats in the United Kingdom. Hodgson was elected to office in a by-election held on 15 October 2009, following the death of previous mayor, Frank Branston. Early life and career Hodgson has lived in Bedford since he was nine years old. He attended Mark Rutherford School, where his father was headmaster.
