David Haddow
David Haddow (12 June 1869 – 14 April 1955) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He won one cap for Scotland, in 1894. Career In 1890, Haddow was involved in an altercation between players from Airdrieonians and his team, local rivals Albion Rovers. The charge was not proven. He won a Scottish Cup (1894) and two Glasgow Cups in a four-year spell with Rangers, Haddow joined Tottenham Hotspur in November 1899, as a replacement for the injured George Clawley. His debut for Spurs was in a away game in the Southern District Combinations league against Bristol City. He helped Tottenham during the course of the season towards winning the Southern Football League title. Dalserf
Dalserf is a small village of only a few streets in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It lies on the River Clyde, east of Larkhall and south east of Hamilton. Dalserf is also a traditional civil parish. It includes Ashgill, Larkhall, Netherburn, Rosebank and Shawsburn. The parish has a population of 17,985 (mostly from Larkhall's near 15,500 population). The name of the village comes from the Gaelic ''dail'', meaning "field", and Serf, the name of a 6th-century saint who dwelt here. Of old, it was also known as ''Machan'' or ''Machanshire'', from the Gaelic ''Maghan'' meaning "small plain". The village kirk, built in 1655, is dedicated to Saint Serf, and may be built on the site of an early church founded by him. Southern Football League
The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. The structure of the Southern League has changed several times since its formation in 1894, and currently there are 84 clubs which are divided into four divisions. The Central and South Divisions are at step 3 of the National League System (NLS), and are feeder divisions, mainly to the National League South but also to the National League North.
