David Greene (American Football)
David Norman Greene (born June 22, 1982) is a former American football quarterback. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia. Greene has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Indianapolis Colts. He retired following the 2008 season, having never played in a regular season game. Early years While attending South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia, David Greene was a two-sport standout as a quarterback in football, and as a right fielder in baseball. Lucius David Syms-Greene (born Lucius David Syms Brian Lederman; 22 February 1921 – 7 April 2003), known as David Greene, was a British television and film director, and actor. Early life and career David Greene was born in Manchester, England, and originally trained as a journalist, working for the ''Walthamstow Guardian''. In the Second World War he served in the merchant navy but was invalided out in 1941. He became Publicity Manager for the Everyman Theatre in London before deciding to become an actor. After training at RADA, he further perfected his craft at the renowned repertory theatre, the Oxford Playhouse, where he worked under the director Peter Ashmore. Greene began public performances in 1948, including roles at the Old Vic. He moved into British films in the same year, including some minor "classics" such as ''The Wooden Horse'' (1950). David Michael Greene (born 26 October 1973) is an Irish former footballer who played as a defender. Career Born in Luton, England to a Galway mother and a Dublin father, Greene played for the Republic of Ireland U21 side 14 times. He began his career at hometown club Luton Town, where he spent five years, making just 19 league appearances. Then manager David Pleat's move from Kenilworth Road to take over at Sheffield Wednesday brought Greene into immediate conflict with the new Luton manager, Terry Westley. Greene was loaned out twice during his time with Luton, firstly to Colchester United and then to Brentford. He was sold to Colchester for £30,000 in 1996, and went on to make over 150 league appearances, being named Player of the Year in two consecutive years. Greene moved on to play for Cardiff City in 2000, making 10 league appearances, and made a solitary league appearance for Cambridge United in 2001 before retiring through injury. David "Dai" Greene (born 11 April 1986) is a British hurdler who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles, competing internationally for both Wales and Great Britain. In a 'golden' sixteen-month period between 2010 and 2011, Greene dominated the event at international level, winning the World, European, Diamond League and Commonwealth titles in quick succession, in addition to winning the event as part of both the European Team Championships and the IAAF Continental Cup. The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM) was among the first American Christian missionary organizations. It was created in 1810 by recent graduates of Williams College. In the 19th century it was the largest and most important of American missionary organizations and consisted of participants from Protestant Reformed traditions such as Presbyterians, Congregationalists, and German Reformed churches. Before 1870, the ABCFM consisted of Protestants of several denominations, including Congregationalists and Presbyterians. However, due to secessions caused by the issue of slavery and by the fact that New School Presbyterian-affiliated missionaries had begun to support the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, after 1870 the ABCFM became a Congregationalist body. David Greene (born 2 July 1964) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played for the Penrith Panthers, Western Suburbs and Eastern Suburbs in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition.
