David Granger (footballer)
David Granger (born 23 January 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Career St Kilda (U19s) David Granger commenced his football career in Victoria where he played trial games with St Kilda. Port Adelaide Granger played for Port Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL between 1975 and 1982. He was a strong, skilled and effective footballer, becoming famously known by his spoonerism nickname, 'Grave Danger'. This was during an era of unprecedented violence in the game and Granger was often employed as an on-field hitman. Over the years he handed out and received countless injuries on the field. Peter Maynard
Peter Maynard (born 28 June 1960) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Glenelg and Woodville-West Torrens in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He is best known for his time with Glenelg in the SANFL who he played for from 1982 to 1990. Maynard was a member of Glenelg's drought-breaking premiership win in 1985 and also a part of the team that went back-to-back for Glenelg in 1986. Maynard then spent one season in 1991 with the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles. He later became the team runner for the Adelaide Football Club. Michael Atkinson (politician)
Michael John Atkinson (born 17 June 1958), a former Australian politician in the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party, was a member of the Parliament of South Australia from 1989 to 2018. Atkinson was the 34th Speaker of the South Australian House of Assembly in the Jay Weatherill government from 2013 to 2018. Before this post, he was the 46th Attorney-General of South Australia, Minister for Justice, Minister for Veterans' Affairs, and Minister for Multicultural Affairs in the Mike Rann Labor Government. Alberton Oval is located in Alberton, a north-western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The ground is a public park and is exclusively leased to the Port Adelaide Football Club for Australian rules football. The Spencer Gulf Football League is an Australian rules football competition based at the head of the Spencer Gulf in South Australia. It is an affiliated member of the South Australian National Football League.
