Dave Gonzalez (born April 24, 1961) is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Southern California and, with Thomas Yearsley, founding member of the roots rock/rockabilly band The Paladins in the early 1980s, and then co-founder with Chris Gaffney of the Hacienda Brothers. A guitar player with a signature Fender to his credit and praised by his fellow guitar players and guitar magazines, his playing is regularly compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan's. David Gonzales (born 1964 in Richmond, California) is an American cartoonist, apparel designer, and toy designer. He is the creator of the Homies line of toys. Biography Gonzales was one of five brothers who were very close. He grew up in a tough, impoverished Mexican-American neighborhood. After attending Roman Catholic elementary school, Gonzales begged his parents to put him in a local public high school because the art program was better. Gonzales began drawing comics while he was in high school. Club career González was born in Oviedo, Asturias, and represented Real Oviedo as a youth.
