David Golomb
David Golomb ( he, דוד גולומב; 4 February 1933 – 27 June 2019) was an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Alignment, Labor Party, Democratic Movement for Change and Shinui in two spells between 1968 and 1969, and again from 1977 until 1981. Biography Golomb was born in Tel Aviv during the Mandate era to Eliyahu Golomb, the man who formed the Haganah, and his mother Ada was the sister of future Israeli Prime Minister Moshe Sharett. He studied economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 1961 he was appointed director of the Institute of Economic Research of the Actions Committee of the Histadrut, and in 1965 became director of the Planning Centre. He also headed the planning section of Koor Industries. A member of Mapai, Golomb was on the Alignment list (a joint list run by Mapai and Ahdut HaAvoda) for the 1965 elections. Dov Sadan
Dov Sadan ( he, דב סדן, 21 February 1902 – 14 October 1989) was an Israeli literary critic and politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Alignment between 1965 and 1968. Biography Born Dov Berl Stock in Brody in the Galicia region of Austria-Hungary (today in Ukraine), Sadan received a traditional Jewish education. He joined HeHalutz, and was one of its leaders during World War I. In 1925 he became editor of ''Atid'', the organisation's journal. Shinui Politicians
Shinui ( he, שִׁינּוּי, lit. ''Change'') was a Zionist, secular, and anti-clerical free market liberal party and political movement in Israel. The party twice became the third-largest in the Knesset, but both occasions were followed by a split and collapse; in 1977, the party won 15 seats as part of the Democratic Movement for Change, but the alliance split in 1978, and Shinui was reduced to two seats at the next elections. In 2003, the party won 15 seats alone, but lost them all three years later after most of its MKs left to form new parties. The party was a member of Liberal International until 2009. Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. Dan Bus Company ( he, דן חברה לתחבורה ציבורית) is an Israeli bus company based in Tel Aviv. It operates local bus service in the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area (Gush Dan) as well as some intercity bus services between the Gush Dan area and nearby regions. 1981 Israeli Legislative Election
Knesset elections were held in Israel on 30 June 1981. The ruling Likud won one more seat than the opposition Alignment, in line with many polls which had predicted a tight race. Voter turnout was 78.5%, with Likud receiving around ten thousand more than the Alignment. This elections highlighted the polarization in the country.
