David Giménez Carreras
David Giménez Carreras (born in Barcelona in 1964) is a Spanish conductor. He is the Music Director of the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès. and a principal guest conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra. Giménez Carreras is the nephew of tenor José Carreras and has conducted many of his concerts, including the 1998 outdoor concert in Barcelona attended by 50,000 people to mark the 10th anniversary of the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation. Career Giménez Carreras began his musical training at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona. He then joined the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, studying with Prof. Karl Osterreicher. He later studied for three years at the Royal Academy of Music in London, with Colin Metters and Sir Colin Davis. Colin Metters
Colin Metters, is an English conductor, orchestral trainer and conducting pedagogue. He is Professor of Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he founded the Conductors' Course in 1983. In September 2013, he retired as Head of Studies after serving in the post for 30 years. He remains as Professor of Conducting at the Academy's Postgraduate Conductors' Course. Royal Opera House
The Royal Opera House (ROH) is an opera house and major performing arts venue in Covent Garden, central London. The large building is often referred to as simply Covent Garden, after a previous use of the site. It is the home of The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. The first theatre on the site, the Theatre Royal (1732), served primarily as a playhouse for the first hundred years of its history. In 1734, the first ballet was presented. Roberto Alagna (; born 7 June 1963) is a French operatic tenor. He obtained French citizenship in 1981, while also retaining his previous Italian citizenship. Early years Alagna was born in Clichy-sous-Bois, outside the city of Paris, in 1963 to a family of Sicilian immigrants. Dennis O'Neill CBE (born 25 February 1948) is a Welsh operatic tenor and recording artist. Early life Dennis O'Neill was born in Pontarddulais, to Welsh and Irish parents.
