David Feldman (musician)
David Feldman (born 20 December 1977, in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian-Israeli Jazz and Bossa Nova pianist, arranger, producer, composer and sound-engineer. Early life David Feldman was born in a family of classical and early-music musicians. He studied with Ileana Carneiro, :pt:Sheila Zagury, and Luiz Eça. New York In 2000, Feldman enrolled at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, graduating in 2002. He worked with Slide Hampton and Claudio Roditi, was invited to sit in at the Mingus Big Band and worked with Duduka da Fonseca and Anat Cohen at Duduka's NY Samba Jazz Group, Matt Garrison and Eli Degibri. Eli Degibri
Eli Degibri (Hebrew: אלי דג'יברי) (born May 3, 1978, in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Israel) is an Israeli jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger. Early life Degibri first began playing the mandolin at age 7 in an after school music program at the Jaffa Conservatory of Music. Three years later, after attending a jazz concert, he became enamored with the saxophone and switched his studies to that instrument. In 1994 Degibri was selected to receive a full scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music's Summer Performance Program. The following year Degibri was again awarded a full scholarship, and participated in the Berklee program for a second summer. In 1997, at age 18, Degibri received a full scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music and relocated to the United States. Toninho Horta
Antônio Maurício Horta de Melo (born December 2, 1948) is a Brazilian jazz guitarist and vocalist. In addition to composing and performing his own work, Horta has worked for many years as arranger or sideman for Brazilian artists such as Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Maria Bethânia, João Bosco, Airto Moreira, Edu Lobo, Nana Caymmi, Flora Purim, Gal Costa, Sérgio Mendes, Chico Buarque, Flávio Venturini, Joyce, Johnny Alf, Wagner Tiso, Francis Hime, and Beto Guedes. Music career Horta grew up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. When he was fourteen, he met Milton Nascimento, who became a lifelong friend and occasional collaborator. Paulo Moura
Paulo Moura (15 July 1932 – 12 July 2010) was a Brazilian clarinetist and saxophonist. Born in São José do Rio Preto, where his father was the maestro of a marching band and encouraged his son to train as a tailor, Paulo instead studied in the National Music School and performed with the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra. He was the first black artist to become first clarinetist in the Municipal Theatre Orchestra. He appeared at Bossa Nova night at Carnegie Hall in 1962 with Sérgio Mendes, the two of them also featuring on Cannonball Adderley's 1962 album, ''Cannonball's Bossa Nova''. He won the Sharp Award for the most popular instrumentalist of the year in 1992. His CD ''Paulo Moura e Os Oito Batutas'' was listed by Barnes & Noble as one of the top 10 recommendations of the year for 1998.
