David Fairleigh
David Fairleigh (born 1 September 1970 in Wyoming, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and current assistant coach for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League (NRL). An Australian international and New South Wales State of Origin representative forward, he played the majority of his club football in Australia for the North Sydney Bears, winning 1994's Rothmans Medal. This was followed by a season at the Newcastle Knights, and another in England at St. Helens, with whom he won the 2001 Challenge Cup Final before retiring. Since retiring in 2001 he has spent the last 19 years coaching in the NRL mainly as an Assistant Coach. Teams he has worked at include the Newcastle Knights, Parramatta Eels, New Zealand Warriors, Penrith Panthers and the Nth Queensland Cowboys. Wyoming, New South Wales
Wyoming is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located northeast of Gosford's central business district. It is part of the local government area. The Aboriginal inhabitants of the Wyoming area before European settlement were the Kuringgai people. In 1824 Frederick Augustus Hely (1794–1836) purchased of land adjacent to Narara Reserve. Hely named the land after the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania, made famous by the 1809 poem ''Gertrude of Wyoming'' by Thomas Campbell. Hely was the Principal Superintendent of Convicts. Alex Reremorehu Chan (born 22 December 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer and coach. Chan played for the Catalans Dragons of Super League, Melbourne Storm, Parramatta Eels and Northern Eagles in the NRL. The 2001 World Club Challenge was contested between Super League V champions, St. Helens and 2000 NRL season premiers, the Brisbane Broncos. The Broncos made the trip to England to play St Helens before the start of the 2001 NRL and Super League seasons and were beaten by two late drop goals (known as a field goal in Australia, but not to be confused with the archaic field goal) from the home side in the final minutes. The 2000 NRL season was the 93rd season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the third to be run by the National Rugby League. The season culminated in the Grand Final between St Helens R.F.C. and Wigan Warriors, which St Helens won, claiming their second consecutive Championship. New South Wales Rugby League Team
The New South Wales rugby league team has represented the Australian state of New South Wales in rugby league football since the sport's beginnings there in 1907.
