David Evans (Victorian Politician)
David Mylor Evans (born 20 June 1934) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Richmond in Melbourne to grazier Evan Mylor Evans and Constance Muriel, ''née'' Burton-Bradley. He graduated from Melbourne Grammar School and farmed on the family property from 1951. A member of the National Party, he served as a central party councillor from 1966 to 1980 and state president in 1976, as well as a member of Oxley Shire Council from 1967 to 1976. In 1976 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for North Eastern. He was parliamentary spokesman on lands from 1976 to 1982, on forests and conservation from 1976 to 1992, on environment from 1983 to 1992 and on economic development from 1982 to 1983; he was also Deputy President of the Legislative Council from 1992 to 1996, when he retired from politics. Jeanette Powell
Elizabeth Jeanette Powell (born 4 February 1949) is a British-born Australian politician. She was a National Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2014, representing the electorate of Shepparton. She was previously a member of the Victorian Legislative Council from 1996 to 2002, representing North Eastern Province. Powell was born in Prescot, Lancashire, England and emigrated to Australia as a child. After a short time in the Melbourne suburb of Preston, the family moved to Shepparton in regional Victoria. Prior to entering parliament, Powell held a variety of occupations including film processor, television presenter, singer, marketing and sales, office manager and director of the family auto-electrics business. She was a Shire of Shepparton councillor from 1990 to 1994, and was the shire president from 1993 to 1994. Bill Baxter (Victorian Politician)
William Robert Baxter (born 3 November 1946) is a former Australian politician and a former Victorian State President of The Nationals. He was the Nationals member of the Victorian Legislative Council representing North Eastern Province from June 1978 until November 2006 (excepting a four-month break in 1984–85). He also served one term in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1973 to 1976. Early life Baxter was born and raised in the Nathalia area. He started high school in Nathalia, but completed his secondary schooling at the prestigious Scotch College, Melbourne, where he was a boarder in School House. Keith Bradbury
Archibald Keith Bradbury (1 August 1905 – 21 August 1988) was an Australian politician. He was born at Sailors Falls near Daylesford to goldminer Henry Bradbury and Catherine Otten. He attended state school at Williamstown and worked as an accountant and builder. On 29 December 1928 he married Fanny Hammil Milligan, with whom he had five children. From 1938 he farmed at Shepparton breeding Guernsey cattle; he moved to Wangaratta in 1953. He was an active member of the Country Party, serving as president of the Katandra branch and secretary of the party council for the state electorate of Murray Valley and the federal electorate of Indi. Ivan Archie Swinburne (6 March 1908 – 12 August 1994) was an Australian politician. He was born in Wangaratta to dairy farmers George Arthur and Hilda Maud Swinburne. He attended local public schools and became a dairy farmer in 1930. From 1940 to 1947 he was a member of Bright Shire Council, serving as president from 1943 to 1944.
