David Miall Edwards (22 January 1873 – 29 January 1941) was a Wales, Welsh Nonconformist (Protestantism), Non-conformist writer and theologian who wrote in both Welsh language, Welsh and English language, English. Edwards was born in Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire (now Powys) in 1873. He was educated at Bala-Bangor Theological Seminary and Mansfield College, Oxford. After a period as a minister, he became a teacher of theology at Brecon College, Brecon Congregational Memorial College, Brecon, Aberhonndu (Brecon), where he remained until his retirement in 1934. He died in Brecon on 29 January 1941. David Sutherland Edwards (19 September 1871 – 21 July 1936) was an Australian judge of the District Court of New South Wales, a NSW Electoral Commissioner and Royal Commissioner. Early life Edwards was born in Coonabarabran, New South Wales a son of Frederick William Edwards, Stipendiary Magistrate. From Coonabarabran Public School he won a scholarship to West Maitland High School. Three years later, when his father was promoted from police magistrate to stipendiary magistrate and was transferred to Sydney, he became a pupil at Newington College (1889–1891). At the University of Sydney he graduated B.A., with first-class honours in Latin and second-class honours in Greek, in 1895, and gained his LL.B. degree in 1899. From 1895 to 1897, whilst a student at the university, he was on the teaching staff of Newington College. Private David Edwards (1841 – April 14, 1897) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Edwards received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Five Forks The Battle of Five Forks was fought on April 1, 1865, southwest of Petersburg, Virginia, around the road junction of Five Forks, Dinwiddie County, at the end of the Siege of Petersburg, near the conclusion of the American Civil War.
