David E. Miller
David E. Miller (born September 23, 1962) is a former Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 29th District from 2001 to 2011. In the 2000 Democratic primary, Miller ran against incumbent Willis Harris as part of a larger proxy fight between the organization of William Shaw and Robert Shaw and the organization of Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. Miller won the election by only 29 votes. The 29th district since 2002 includes parts of Burnham, Calumet City, Chicago, Dolton, Ford Heights, Glenwood, Harvey, Homewood, Lansing, Lynwood, South Holland and Thornton. In the Illinois House, he served on the Mass Transit committee. Miller ran for the office of Comptroller in 2010. Thaddeus Jones (politician)
Thaddeus Jones is an American politician, currently serving as both the Illinois state representative for the 29th district and as the mayor of Calumet City, Illinois. The 29th district includes all or parts of Chicago, Dolton, South Holland, Lansing, Calumet City, Thornton, Glenwood, Lansing Village, Steger, Crete and Monee. Jones is a member of the Democratic Party. Political career Jones' first position in elective office was as Calumet City's 3rd ward alderman from 1997 to 2007. Judy Baar Topinka (January 16, 1944 – December 10, 2014) was an American politician and member of the Republican Party from the U.S. State of Illinois. Originally a journalist, Topinka served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1981 to 1985 and in the Illinois Senate from 1985 to 1995. She was elected to three terms as Illinois State Treasurer, serving from 1995 to 2007. She was the first woman to become state treasurer, the first to be elected to three consecutive terms, and the first Republican to hold the post in more than 32 years. Subramanian Raja Krishnamoorthi ( born July 19, 1973) is an Indian-born American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2017. The district includes many of Chicago's western and northwestern suburbs, such as Hoffman Estates, Elgin, Schaumburg, Wood Dale, and Elk Grove Village.
