David Cullen (basketball)
David Cullen (born 1969) is a Northern Irish former basketball player who currently assists the organisation Crossover Basketball with its work in Northern Ireland. Dave also works with Ormeau Road Boxing Club as Secretary and Fundraiser. Cullen was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He attended and worked for Queen's University Belfast. Basketball career Dave started playing basketball in the senior leagues for Team Smithwicks at 16 years old, but had to pretend he was 18 to be available for selection. He them moved to Star of the Sea at age 20 who compete in the Irish Super League, the top level of basketball in Ireland which involves professional players brought in from America. At age 25, David moved to the newly founded Queens Basketball Club. He also enrolled as a mature student at Queen's, which enabled him to play for the varsities team. David Cullen (born December 30, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He attended Medaille College between 2010 and 2011, earning a master's degree in Education. Playing career Cullen played 16 games in the National Hockey League for the Phoenix Coyotes who signed him as an undrafted free-agent in 1999, scoring no points and collecting 6 penalty minutes. He mainly played for the Coyotes' AHL affiliate the Springfield Falcons. On January 4, 2002, Cullen was traded to the Minnesota Wild for Sébastien Bordeleau and played 3 games for the Wild scoring no points and no penalty minutes as he spent most of his time again in the AHL, this time with the Houston Aeros. After 2 seasons in the Wild organization, he spent a further 3 seasons in the AHL with the Rochester Americans before moving to Europe in 2006, playing in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the DEG Metro Stars, and in August 2007 he signed with the Swedish team Färjestads BK. David A. Cullen (born February 1, 1960) is an American lawyer who is serving as the current Treasurer of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Prior to his election, Cullen served as a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly after winning a special election in May 1990. Cullen was elected in April 2012 to a seat on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, which he held until taking office as County Treasurer. Early life and education Cullen was born on February 1, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from John Marshall High, received his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1981, and his J.D. degree from Marquette University in 1984. David Thompson Cullen (born March 19, 1959) is an American guitarist, composer, and arranger of various styles of guitar music, including classical, jazz, and world music. Currently he is Artist in Residence at Elizabethtown College. Biography David Cullen began playing guitar at age seven. He joined a rock band at 14 before taking up the classical guitar at 15. From 1977 to 1981 he attended the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. Notable performances include a New York debut recital for the American Institute of Guitar's International Guitar Festival in 1985, a Merkin Concert Hall live broadcast for WNYC in 1988, and the 92nd Street Y New York Guitar Festival in 2004.
