David Craig (Scottish Footballer)
David William Craig (born 11 June 1969, in Glasgow) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He played for numerous clubs in the Scottish Football League, including East Stirlingshire, Dundee United, Hamilton Academical and Ayr United. He was named in the PFA Scotland Third Division Team of the Year for 2006–07 while playing for Dumbarton. Career Craig began his career at the end of the 1980s with Partick Thistle, making a dozen league appearances for ''The Jags'' before joining East Stirlingshire in 1991. Spending three years with ''The Shire'', Craig won a move to Scottish Premier Division side Dundee United in 1994, making his league debut in November as a substitute. Craig's next league appearance came in February, and although he started a further three league matches, Craig appeared in only one matchday squad following the side's relegation, joining Hamilton Academical in September 1995. PFA Scotland Team Of The Year
The Professional Footballers' Association Scotland Team of the Year (often called the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, or simply the Team of the Year) is an annual award given to a set of 44 footballers in the four national tiers of the Scottish football league system, who are seen to be deserving of being named in a "Team of the Year". The award is compiled by the members of the players' trade union, Professional Footballers' Association Scotland (PFA Scotland), with the winners then being voted for by the other players in their respective divisions. Stirling Albion Football Club is a Scottish football club based in the city of Stirling. The club was founded in 1945 following the demise of King's Park after World War II. The club currently competes in Scottish League Two as a member of the Scottish Professional Football League. Its highest league position came in 1958–59 with a 12th-placed position in the top flight. Dumfries
Dumfries ( ; sco, Dumfries; from gd, Dùn Phris ) is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. James Thomson (born 15 May 1971) is a Scottish footballer. Nicknamed 'JT', Thomson was a central defender. Thomson's greatest achievements were during his 358 appearances for Queen of the South, where he was club captain. Thomson also enjoyed some success in shorter periods at Clyde and Arbroath and also played for Stenhousemuir. Thomson had a short spell as caretaker manager of Queen of the South during November and December 2016 and is currently player-manager of Kilsyth Rangers in the SJFA West Region Championship. Playing career Clyde Thomson began his senior football career at Clyde in 1991. Thomson made 151 league appearances and scored 11 goals. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17.
