David Cortés (Spanish Footballer)
David Cortés Caballero (born 29 August 1979) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He appeared in 273 La Liga matches in exactly ten seasons, mainly with Mallorca and Getafe (four years apiece). He won one Copa del Rey with the former club. Club career Born in Llerena, Badajoz, Cortés made his professional debut with local CF Extremadura in the Segunda División. He then moved to RCD Mallorca in La Liga (alongside teammate Poli), where he was first-choice for three full seasons, helping the Balearic Islands team to the 2003 edition of the Copa del Rey. In the summer of 2006, Cortés signed with Madrid's Getafe CF. After splitting duties with Romanian Cosmin Contra in 2006–07, he started the following campaign as the side reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup. Hércules de Alicante Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. () is a Spanish football team in Alicante, in the autonomous community of Valencian Community. Founded on 25 October 1922, it currently plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 3 and plays its home games at the 29,500-capacity Estadio José Rico Pérez. The 2009–10 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 29 August 2009, and the season ended on 19 June 2010. Real Betis, Numancia and Recreativo de Huelva are the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. The teams which were promoted from Segunda División B were: Cádiz (champion), Cartagena (runner-up), Real Unión (play-off winner) and Villarreal B (play-off winner). The first goal of the season was scored by Quique de Lucas, who scored a seventh-minute goal for Cartagena against Girona in the early kick-off. Miguel Torres Gómez (; born 28 January 1986) is a Spanish former footballer. Usually a right-back, he was equally at ease on the other flank. He played 223 La Liga matches over 11 seasons, in representation of Real Madrid, Getafe and Málaga. He also competed professionally in Greece with Olympiacos. The 2009–10 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th La Liga since its establishment. Barcelona were the defending champions, having won their 19th La Liga title in the previous season. The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Cup, UEFA's second-tier club football tournament. The final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers of Scotland and Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia. The 2007–08 La Liga season, the 77th since its establishment, started on 25 August 2007 and finished on 18 May 2008. The 2006–07 La Liga season, the 76th since its establishment, started on 27 August 2006 and finished on 17 June 2007. Real Madrid won La Liga on the better head-to-head against Barcelona in one of its most thrilling seasons to date. Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad and Gimnàstic de Tarragona were relegated.
